Survey of the cultures and history of the native peoples of Mexico and Central America. Beginning with the documents created by and about native peoples around the time of the Spanish invasion, the course follows the experiences of these societies through the colonial period and up to the present. A Ant 341Z & A Lcs 341Z are writing intensive versions of A Ant 341 & A Lcs 341; only one of the four courses may be taken for credit. Prerequisite(s): A Ant 100 or 108 or 108Z.
