Introduction to medical anthropology. Cross-cultural examination of different views of health, disease, healing and curing, their effect on medical care and maintenance of health of individuals and communities. Analyses of interface of modern medicine with traditional systems and dilemmas caused by the application of recent medical advances in our own culture.
