An introductory overview of the technology available to church musicians. Prerequisite: CIS 1103. MUS/ EDU 4573. Methods of Teaching Vocal Music in the Middle and Secondary Schools (3 hours) (Fall, odd years) Study of philosophy of music education, administrative and teaching techniques and materials for teaching vocal music in the middle and secondary schools. Music majors and minors only. Prerequisites: MUS 1621 and 1623. MUS/ EDU 4583. Methods of Teaching Instrumental Music in the Middle and Secondary Schools (3 hours) (Fall, even years) Study of philosophy of music education, administrative and teaching techniques and materials for teaching instrumental music in middle and secondary schools. Emphasis will be placed on lesson plans and their implementation. Music majors and minors only. Prerequisites: MUS 1621 and 1623.
