Prerequisites: RELL 181, 182, 221. Application of the principles of exegesis to the text of the Hebrew Bible, with particular emphasis on the contribution of Hebrew lexicography, grammar, syntax, and style to the understanding of the text. The student will be expected to analyze the text of assigned passages and to prepare brief exegetical papers and sermons based on the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. (Fall)
