Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education. This course is designed to be the final step before students are placed for their student teaching practicum. As such, the class combines discussion, guided practice in various teaching activities, and actual teaching experience in area middle schools and high schools/academies. Attention is given to Southern Union and Tennessee curriculum standards, as well as methods and materials of planning, instruction, and evaluating student performance. Requirements for both state and denominational certification are addressed, including PRAXIS test preparation.
