Prerequisites: BIOL 151-152. A general study of bacteria, yeasts, molds and viruses, considering their morphology, physiology, genetics and methods of control. Study is given to immunology topics: antigen-antibody properties, host-antigen interactions, humoral and cellular immune systems. The importance of microorganisms in environmental and applied fields is considered. Three lectures and one three-hour laboratory period each week.
