Prerequisites: ART 104,105 or permission of the instructor. A course designed to give the student a basic understanding of the techniques of transparent watercolor. The student studies brush-strokes, painting surfaces, paint characteristics, masking, and the overlay of colors using the white surface for tinting. A variety of subjects will be studied that require specific painting techniques in rendering surface textures such as water, clouds, and trees. Lab fee 4 will be assessed for this course.
