On demand. 3 semester hours. The course examines the use of puppets in educational, recreational, therapeutic, and religious settings. Design, construction, and manipulation of various kinds of puppets will be covered. Students will be given opportunities to develop performance skills through theatrical processes. While the course will focus on fundamentals, students will be encouraged to pursue their special puppetry interests and needs.
