Fall and spring semesters. 3 semester hours. Sponsored by services for academic success (SAS), this course is designed to prepare students for college algebra. Elementary algebra topics are covered, which include solving equations and inequalities, simplifying algebraic expressions, simplifying expressions involving integers and rational numbers, and graphing equations. This course is for credit and will affect a student's GPA although it does not satisfy any math general education requirement and does not count toward the credits required for graduation.
