This course is a survey of Spanish history from Visigoth Spain to the 16th century. Topics covered include the Moslem conquest of Spain, the Reconquista, the Catholic kings, the conquest of America, and the Counter-Reformation. Prerequisite: SPAN 305 or equivalent. This course counts as part of Group II on the major or minor. Three hours.
