A study of Latin-American literature from the Colonial period to the present. Prose narrative, poetry, and theater are studied. Emphasis on analysis of literary texts and use of critical terms. Given in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPAN 231 and 241 or department permission. Partially satisfies the AOK requirement for Literature and Art. Not open to students who have completed SPAN 252.
