A first course in the theory of functions of real variables. Topics include axiomatic description of the real number system, topology of Euclidean and metric spaces, limits and continuity, and differentiation. Students are expected not only to learn the material presented but also to construct proofs independently. Prerequisite: MATH 220. Three hours. Staff.
