A study of the nature of evil as portrayed in fiction and film about three iconic figures: Dracula, a representative of supernatural or Satanic evil; the Frankenstein monster, the result of perverted rationalism and science; and Jack the Ripper, a product of innately human or psychopathological evil-all embodiments of our own insecurities and fears of the strange and unfamiliar.
