An introductory treatment of the basic concepts, methodology, and analytical tools that relate to the operation of a modern economic system. The emphasis is primarily macro. Topics covered include supply and demand analysis, economic activities of government, national income accounting, employment theory, commercial banking, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth.
