A student-selected and faculty- approved subject of independent study constitutes the project. Frequent conferences are held with the student, and a three-person faculty committee holds an examination upon completion of the project. The student is expected to develop the ability to formulate a topic, perform the research, and compose a written report. Open to seniors only each semester with departmental approval. Six hours. Staff.
