The student is introduced to the fundamentals of play direction: script analysis, basics of blocking, composition, and picturization. Also included are discussions of the role and function of the director as an artist and the skills the director must develop. Scene work with actors in class is required. This course is taught in conjunction with DRAM 211, Acting. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or above. Four hours. Mr. Mattys.
