Prerequisite: acceptance into nursing program. A course focusing on medical-surgical nursing care of culturally diverse adult patients across the lifespan who are experiencing chronic health problems and end-of-life issues. The concept of caring is emphasized with a focus on individuality and cultural diversity. Implementation of the nursing process in a health care setting will focus on using basic teachinglearning principles for practice. Lecture - 3 hours; Clinical - 2 hours.
