Prerequisites: NURS-2013, NURS-3013, NURS- 3014 and NURS-3015. A course which builds upon the medical-surgical concepts learned in Adult Nursing I. This course focuses on caring for adult patients experiencing selected health problems across the lifespan within the acute care environment. Families and community groups will be incorporated while studying individuals with common, acute disorders. Through application of the nursing process, students learn to provide complex therapeutic nursing interventions while using critical thinking skills. Lecture - 3 hours; Clinical - 2 hours.
