Prerequisite: ELEC-3403. Introduction to automatic control systems theory and practice. Continuous system modeling; transfer functions and state space descriptions. Applications of Laplace Transform. System stability, transient response, steady state response, sensitivity, controllability, and observability. System performance measures. Classical and modern control techniques, PID control, root locus, frequency response methods, state feedback, observers. Lecture - 2 hours; Laboratory - 3 hours.
