Designed to introduce the student to the tools and methods of the information age. Topics include PC hardware and software, the DOS and Windows environments, GUI interface, memory management and use of common PC devices (hard disks, CDROM, sound cards, etc.). A relational database is utilized in software development. This course includes laboratory experiences. Lecture - 2 hours; Laboratory - 2 hours.
