A study of explicitly religious teachings and practices in a wide variety of new religious movements, as well as quasi-religious teachings and practices in such areas as alternative medicine, the environment, selfhelp and psychotherapy, and the New Age movement. Students are challenged to develop and apply a sound biblical perspective regarding the movements, teachings and practices under discussion. Fulfills the core curriculum non-Western civilization requirement. (Same as MISS-3673.) Nontextual.
