It deals with such topics as the late Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, the Reformation and Counter-Reformation, the expansion of trade, exploration and colonization, the rise of new systems of government (absolute monarchy and constitutional monarchy), the military revolution, the witch hunts of the 1500s and 1600s, and the Enlightenment.
