designed to provide the future educator with the necessary foundation of fundamental movement concepts and principles for children ages 3-8. Special emphasis will be placed upon the use of developmentally appropriate practice to enhance the acquisition of more complex motor skills and patterns. In addition, educators will be given specific strategies necessary in the educating of children who require skill adaptation and the use of prescriptive exercise and equipment. Educators will attempt to establish a positive attitude and appreciation for regular health related physical activity throughout the child's lifespan. Lastly, the educator will experience firsthand the importance of movement activities and how they assist in the child's psychological, physical, intellectual, and social development.
