is an independent experience under the guidance of one or more faculty members, designed to expose students to methods of investigation and inquiry, and enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The course also includes oral presentations and writing of a final scientific paper. In addition, to stay current in the field being researched, students will continue the literature research begun in CHEM 454. Students are also required to attend a weekly seminar meeting.
