A study of the principles and methods for teaching children and youth to effectively communicate Christ and serve the church outside their own cultural context. Special emphasis is given to the history and philosophy of missions, contemporary culture and subsequent strategies for missions, multicultural communication and ministry, programming for missions education, and encouraging the call to full-time missionary service in children and youth. Involvement in a university missions trip during the course provides training in planning and administering age-level missions trips. Prerequisite for Christian education majors and minors: CED2043 or CED3003. Open to non-majors.
