Attention is directed to the dynamic and social nature of chemical science by relating contributions of individuals and groups to the advancement of chemical knowledge. Sections of the course will be dedicated to exploring the role of chemistry in selected areas of importance to society through the presentation of a set of fundamental chemical concepts.
