An introduction to the cellular structure and physiology. Special emphasis is given to the plasma membrane and the transport of molecules into cells, internal membranes and their function, cell nucleus and chromosome structure, energy conversion and mitochondria in chloroplasts, cytoskeleton, cell growth division, and the extracellular matrix. Prerequisites: BIO1054G. CHE3034 and BIO3064 are recommended.
