An overview of the social, historical, and philosophical foundations of education with an emphasis upon current moral, social, and political issues. Special emphasis is given to America's very diverse student, the teacher and classroom required to meet this vast need. Prerequisites: ACT composite score of 19 or higher (SAT 910 minimum), or pass the PRAXIS I and have a cumulative university GPA of 2.75. Corequisites: EDU1032.
