This course will provide an understanding of the various areas of empirical investigation related to issues in nonbiased assessment and to review the specific strategies that can be employed in the assessment of Hispanic children and adults to reduce the probability of bias. Assessment will be viewed from the perspective of a multi-dimensional model of intelligence, with respect for linguistic and socio-cultural diversity and ethical responsibility. 3 hours lecture.
