College: COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS Department: CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY Credits: 4.00 Instrumental Analysis. Prerequisites: CHEM 310; and either CHEM 340 or CHEM 447. Special fee. Introduction to application of instrumental methods of analytical chemistry. Instrument techniques studied will include spectrophotometry, electroanalytical chemistry,chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. Theory and application will be examined in lecture and laboratory. 2 hours lecture, 6 hours lab.
