Introduction to simulation and discrete simulation models. Queuing theory and stochastic processes. Simulation methodology including generation of random numbers and variates, design of simulation experiments, analysis of data generated by simulation experiments and validation of models. Survey of current simulation languages and selected applications. 3 hours lecture.
