College: COLLEGE OF THE ARTS Department: ART AND DESIGN Credits: 1.00 to 9.00 Independent Study in Graduate Ceramics I. Prerequisites: Departmental approval. Under this course designation graduate students engage in a program of advanced study in Ceramics. The direction, scope and evaluation of the work are developed in consultation with the instructor. Required readings, recommendations of research into artists, exhibitions and studio techniques will also be developed through consulation with the instructor. The progress of the work will be evaluated by regular meetings and by scheduled critiques. May be repeated for a maximum total of 9.0 credits.
