This course is designed for the prospective science teacher. It focuses on the development of science and technology through historical time and will emphasize the way in which the scientific method has been used or ignored during various historical eras. Topics will include ethical issues, environmental issues, the role of education in responsible decision-making, and the development of a Christian context for the philosophy of science. This course carries upper division elective credit in Biology, Chemistry, History, or philosophy. Prerequisite(s): The completion of the general education Biology or Chemistry requirement, plus a course in History, and one in philosophy, or consent of the instructor. Three Hours, Summer
