3 Credit Hours AND ANALYSIS Same as ACC 215 Prerequisite: MAT 121 or equivalent This course focuses on the principles employed in the analysis of financial statements rather than their creation. Financial statements, their management information content, their interpretation, and their use in developing financial assessments of publicly held firms will be the pivotal elements of the course, without overlooking the human and moral factors that must also be considered in such evaluations. Analytical techniques employed include trend analysis and deterministic forecasting. This course provides the foundation for corporate finance theory.
