3 Credit Hours Prerequisites: ENG 112, CPU 115 or computer competency This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to integrate instructional technology into the elementary school classroom. The course addresses the management of different learning strategies, the development of higher order thinking skills using various instructional technologies, the selection, use and integration of appropriate technology-based resources, and the development of instructional materials which make use of basis computer applications of wordprocessing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software and the Internet. Students are required to develop and teach a technology-integrated lesson in an elementary school classroom. Evaluation of hardware, software, and Websites are incorporated into this course. Practicum included.
