3 credit hours WRITING ACROSS THE DISCIPLINES Prerequisites: none This course, intended for transfer students who have successfully completed the equivalent of ENG 111 and 112, provides additional intensive non-fiction writing practice in composition and research in order to prepare them for upper-division courses at Aquinas. A workshop format allows concentration on the student's intended discipline. Students will write a short research paper, essays in several genres, and various shorter pieces. The midterm and final examinations will cover research methods, citation styles, critical reading skills, and writing theory.
