3 Non-Credit Hours This course, which reviews basic skills in composition to prepare students for English 111, is required for students who need remedial work as determined by the English placement essay. Content includes sentence structure, grammar and usage, mechanics, punctuation and the writing of paragraphs and short papers. Students are graded on a pass-fail basis. A passing grade ("P") is achieved with an average scoreof 80%. If required, this course must be taken within the first semester of attendance.
