3 Credit Hours Each Same as GRE 112 Prerequisite: GRE/CLSG 111 This course is the second semester of elementary Classical Greek grammar, vocabulary, and syntax. It also includes continued study of introductory Greek history and culture, especially as known through selected readings in translation. The student should be able to recount and characterize the major divisions of ancient Greek history and a selection of related cultural developments. At the successful completion of this course, the student should be able to correctly read, translate, and analyze grammatically selected elementary classical Greek words, phrases, and passages as well as translate selected English words, phrases and sentences into Greek.
