An examination of the structure and operations of long-term care organizations and institutions, focusing on issues affecting the management, financing, and implementation of long-term care. Topics covered include policies and regulations related to the administration of long-term care facilities; human resources management in long-term care; marketing long-term care; and the multidisciplinary team approach in the delivery of services to the elderly, mentally ill, chronically ill, and disabled. NOTE: Successful completion of this course satisfies part of the requirements for admission to the New York State Licensing Examination for Nursing Home Administrators.
