3 credits. Supervised individual research and directed reading in selected areas of economics. An honors essay or some other suitable presentation is required. PREREQ: A minimum of 3.2 G.P.A., permission of the instructor, and ECO 402. To graduate with Departmental honors in economics, the student must take ECO 490. Courses in Accounting ACC 171: Principles of Accounting I. 4 hours, 3 credits. Balance sheets and income statements; the theory of debit and credit; controlling accounts and mercantile transactions.
