Study of amino acids, protein structure and conformation, kinetic and molecular basis of enzyme action, lipids, and membrane structure, carbohydrates and intermediary metabolism, regulatory mechanisms, elementary thermodynamics in biochemical equilibria, and relationships between structure and function of biological macromolecules. PREREQ: CHE 234. PRE- or COREQ: CHE 334 or 344.
