This course is designed to offer students opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills in conflict management with recognition that successful management of difference is achieved with communication. Therefore, students investigate topics as communication ethics, styles, strategies, and tactics, power differences, communication options, assessing conflicts, confrontation, and third party intervention. Interpersonal, organization, community, and global conflict are explored through case studies and role-plays. Negotiation and mediation skills are developed.
