The analysis and design of passive and active filters for electrical signals. Topics include Butterworth, Chebyshev, Bessel-Thompson response characteristics, biquad and Sallen-Key circuits, frequency and impedance transformations, sensitivity, gyrators, negative impedance elements, leapfrog filters and switched capacitor filters. Credits: 3 Prerequisites: EE 416 only: P, 321 or consent.
