Detailed study of the types of geosynthetic materials used in environmental, geotechnical, and transportation engineering as well as how they are used and manufactured. Particular emphasis will be placed on erosion control, landfill, transportation, drainage, filtration and reinforcement applications. Students enrolling in CEE 572 will be held to a higher standard than those enrolling in CEE 472. Credits: 3 Prerequisites: P, CEE 346.
