Achronological examination of American music from the Native American music as experienced by early European settlers to the music of contemporary American composers. The study will include both sacred and secular art music. Prerequisite: MUS 3030, 3040, or permission of instructor. Performance Ensembles For music majors, minors and students not majoring in music.
