Emphasis is placed on biosynthesis, structure and function of macromolecules; major metabolic and catabolic processes including the enzymes involved, their mechanisms of action, and their regulation; and coordination of the cell's metabolic activities in response to internal and external signals. BIOL 4350 covers biological macromolecules structure and function, and transducing and storing of energy. Prerequisites: BIOL 1010, 1020, 3250, CHEM 1030, 1040. Co-requisite: BIOL 4351.
