A study of systems used to move goods and transport people. Students will research, experiment and solve problems related to the design, development, evaluation and operation of subsystems and components of terrestrial, marine, atmospheric and space transportation as well as the transformation and transportation/transmission of energy to support those transportation systems. Students will select, design, construct, analyze and evaluate solutions to transportation problems. The impacts on and relationship to societal institutions, the environment and the individual are introduced and explored. Prerequisite: upper division standing or advisor approval.
