1 credit Laboratory exercises in astronomy presented in the tradition of the amateur astronomer. Instruction includes observation of celestial objects as well as laboratory exercises to investigate the physical nature of astronomical objects. Instruction on the use of telescopes and the process of the scientific method presented. Recommended for non-science majors. Satisfies Natural Sciences Core Curriculum. Pre/Co-requisite(s): AST 103 or AST 104; $ 25 lab fee. Biology Note: Laboratory courses require special expenses for materials and equipment in addition to regular registration fees.
