Description:

1-3 credits Independent study in selected topics. May be repeated to a maximum of six credits. A written English placement exam is given to students with an Enhanced ACT score 1-20 in English or Re-centered SAT 200-500 in Verbal and to students who have not taken the ACT or SAT. Ratings less than two are referred to a community college (ratings are from one to four). NSC offers English 100 (5 credits) in lieu of remedial English.
