This course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to practice skills and treatment interventions related to social work with abused and neglected children and their families. This course will focus on the development of specific practice skills in collecting data and assessing situations with a variety of client types. This course is the second of two specific course requirements for the Public Child Welfare Certification Program available through Murray State University's Social Work Program and the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children. Prerequisites: SWK 405 and consent of instructor.
